  • Who can attend the course?
    This professional development course is for teachers, early childhood teachers, teacher aides, teachers in training, early childhood educators, parent volunteers, and anyone committed to helping improve young children's social-emotional capabilities to maximise their learning. This teaching tool helps teacher practitioners create a more peaceful environment to deliver their curriculum in the classroom and playground.
  • Why should you do the course?
    This will help Teachers, Early Children, Educators and anyone working to reduce challenging behaviours displayed by children, thus improving the life of young children's by teaching and practicing social-emotional skills. Which will to maximise their learning.
  • What content is covered during the training session?
    This program encourages principles of excellence in Early Childhood by managing challenging behaviours. This teaching tool helps teacher practitioners to create a peaceful environment to enable them to deliver their curriculum in the classroom, playground, friendship groups and community environments. It will encourage children to come and play and learn. This will improve the social-emotional capabilities to maximise the children’s learning capabilities, working towards school readiness. This professional development course and teaching tool provide teachers with the tools, practical resources, and skills to create a strong sense of belonging among participants in their unique kindergarten community.
  • Training Content
    Understanding of mental health in young children. How to guide children to make more positive choices. How to be able to reduce bullying behaviours in different environments (playground, friendship groups and in the classroom.) To strengthen positive interactions amongst the children and their peers (respectful conversations) To encourage using words, appropriate language and appropriate voices in class. To encourage teachers to model to children appropriate ways to interact with friends, teachers and the broader community. To teach children about what good deeds and good manners look like in different environments. How to turn behaviours into teachable moments and behaviours into learning opportunities and explicit teaching opportunities. To empower teachers to set firm boundaries and behaviour etiquette in the classroom and playground. How to use the LMP Teaching Tool. To discuss and understand how children adopt behaviours over time.
  • What do you get included in your training?
    A face-to-face 2 hours 30 minutes training session. The resources include a teaching tool also includes instructional manual, and 20 flashcards across five different environments demonstrating children making kind choices and unkind choices. The teaching tool kit will be posted to each paid participant after the course is completed. Allow 14 days for delivery.
  • Is there any follow-up following the professional development training?
    An opportunity to follow up after the training of 4 x 15-minute Zoom Sessions can be offered to answer any additional questions will be offered to groups. Email the requests and times to info@thelittlemindsprogram.training.
  • Special Introductory Offer
    Participants will receive an additional 40 flashcards and lesson plans throughout the 12 months after completing the Little Minds Program training professional development course.
  • What is the cost?
    $750 per attendee.
  • Can I postpone my course date?
    Yes. Please provide seven days' notice, preferably by emailing info@thelittlemindsprogram.com.au
  • Where is the course held?
    We offer in-house training at your local centre or school on weekdays within 30 km of Brisbane in Queensland. Alternatively, we can offer the training at a private Shailer Park venue near Logan in Brisbane, Queensland on Saturday at 1.30pm. ​Training is also offered Monday to Friday at 8:00 am, 12.30 pm or 3.30 pm, Saturday 1:30pm via on-line Zoom.
  • What days do you offer training?
    Training is offered Monday to Friday at 8:00 am, 12.30 pm or 3.30 pm for Zoom training. However, Monday to Friday 8:00 am is the only time scheduled for in-person training at your location within 30 km of Brisbane. We also offer Saturdays for Zoom training at 1.30 pm or in person at Shailer Park QLD only for in-person. If you have any other requests for a date and time concerning training, you are welcome to email info@thelittlemindsprogram.training.
  • Cancellation Policy
    No cancellations are accepted after payment has been made. However, you can reschedule for an alternative time at our mutual convenience. Please email info@thelittlemindsprogram.training the proposed new time and date.
  • About Zoom On-Line Training
    Participants both locally in Brisbane and interstate locations both have the option to select the zoom option. All session times are available for zoom training.
  • About In-person Training
    Melissa offers the training in person. In that case, Melissa can drive 30 km from her Brisbane location to conduct the in-person training at your childcare facility in Brisbane. However, if you are interstate or outside of the 30kms, if you wish, Melissa could conduct in-person training at your facility, which would include travel costs.
  • About the existing booking link
    The existing booking link is for your organisation, which has already been blocked in Little Minds training; it allows any last-minute teachers and educators from your organisation to join the session.
  • Are there any times limited to online training only?
    Last session of the day (3.30pm) weekdays is limited to online training, no in person sessions can be booked at this time.
  • About Training Days Offered
    If a day is blocked out in the Little Minds training calendar, if that day suits your organisation better, please email the request regarding the day and time to info@thelittlemindsprogram.training
